- Stand in a circle.
- One by one, say your name, and choose an object in the room to help you describe how you are feeling. For example: ‘I feel like the lightbulb because I am full of energy’, or ‘I feel like the corner of the room because I am not quite ready to take part yet’.
Notes: This exercise works at the start of a workshop to help everyone in the room identify the overall mood.
If it is a long session (e.g. all day) this exercise can be repeated as a closing activity. The stimulus can be changed, e.g. if I was a colour, food, weather.
